March 2020

1st - 31st  National Women's History Month.

31st-This meeting has been cancelled due to Covid-19.  Monroe County Historical Society Board meets at 5:30 PM

April 2020-

3rd - Flora of Michigan Art Exhibition at the Battlefield. Runs through May 3. Open during regular park hours. Proceeds benefit the Battlefield Educational Programs.

9th - Civil War Roundtable -7pm - Tom Custer and the 21st Ohio                                                                                                

25th- Ft Meigs Hearthside Cooking Class - reservations required

 28th Monroe County Historical Society Board meets @ 5:30pm  Stay tuned for updates.  I will post them as they arrive.

May 2020-

  3rd- Founders Day at the Sawyer Homestead from 10:00 AM to 3 PM.

  14th - Civil War Roundtable @7pm - Michigan’s Civil War Citizen-General: Alpheus Williams. Speaker Jack Dempsey

  23rd - 24th - Colonial Feast of the St Clair in Port Huron reenactment

  23rd - 24th - Siege of Ft Meigs in Perrysburg reenactment

  23rd - 24th - Civil War remembrance at Greenfield Village reenactment

  23rd-25th - AMVETS Tombstone Display at S&S Park - See article.

  25th - Monroe Memorial Day parade - Since 1868 - One of the oldest in the nation
